Description
Teb keyhan P.G.C is similar to the suture known as MONOCRYL. PG.C is short-term Synthetic absorbable monofilament suture made from poliglecaprone25 copolymer that has been found to be non-antigenic, non-pyrogenic and elicits only a slight tissue reaction during absorption. its degradation is done by hydrolysis, which makes the polymer transform into adipic acid, which is latterly absorbed and metabolized in human organism. This polymer essentially loses the initial resistance to tension at 21 days. Its absorption completes between 90 to 120 days. P.G.C is sterilized by Ethylene Oxide. Available sizes are presented in the attached table.
Indication
-General proximity of soft tissues
-Ligation
-Gastric surgery
-Skin Closure
-Gynecology-Obstetrics
-Plastic surgery
-Urology
Contra- Indication
-Being absorbable, not to use in extended tissue approximation
-Caution in patient with delayed wound healing (e.g. compromised immunity system)
-The Safety effectiveness of P.G.C sutures has not been established in neural tissue, Cardiovascular tissue, microsurgery and ophthalmic surgery.
Packaging
Teb Keyhan P.G.C is packed as follow:
Single or Double-needled gauge sizes 5/0 to 1 (U.S.P) with suture length of 45 to 90 cm in boxes containing 24 sachets of sterilized ready-to-use suture.
Expiration
Teb Keyhan P.G.C sutures are usable for up 5 years from their manufacturing date.
