P.G.A(Polyglycolic Acid)
Teb keyhan P.G.A is a synthetic absorbable suture, with a high level performance It is multifilament and made up of a polymer of Glycolic Acid.

P.G.A(Polyglycolic Acid)

Type

Braided and coated multifilament

Composition

polyglycolic acid

Coating

polycaprolactone and calcium stearate (1%)

Colour

Violet

Tissue reaction

Minimal

Absorption

The hydrolytic action, by which the material is broken down, results in a total absorption in approximately 60 to 90 days. Approximately 50% of tensile strength remains after 7 days.

Excellent handling properties High Flexibility High tensile strength  Excellent knot security

Coated multifilament

Soft passage through the  tissue with minimal sawing,  tissue drag and trauma Good knot tie down/adjustability  Reduced capillary action.

Description
Teb keyhan P.G.A is a synthetic absorbable suture, with a high level performance It is multifilament and made up of a polymer of Glycolic Acid. P.G.A is a coated with polycaprolactone and calcium stearate for smooth passage through tissue and easy knot tie down. P.G.A is degraded by hydrolysis and the absorption time is 60 to 90 days. This suture is sterilized by Ethylene Oxide and is available in violet color. Available sizes are presented in the attached table.

Indication
-General soft tissue approximation and/or ligation
-General surgery
-Skin Closure
-Gastrointestinal surgery
-Gynecology
-Obstetrics
-Plastic surgery
