Description
Teb keyhan P.D.O is similar to the suture known as P.D.S. and is made of polydioxanone. It is a monofilament Synthetic absorbable suture. The absorption mechanism is a slow progressive hydrolysis which is minimal until approximately 90 days post-implantation and is complete with in 180 to 210 days. P.D.O has been found to be non-antigenic, non-pyrogenic and elicits only a slight tissue reaction during absorption. This suture has an excellent pliability, very high initial tensile strength and smooth tissue passage. It is available in violet color. P.D.O is sterilized by Ethylene Oxide. Available sizes are presented in the attached table.

Packaging
Teb Keyhan P.D.O is packed as follow:
Single or Double-needled gauge sizes 6/0 to 1 (U.S.P) with suture length of 30 to 90 cm in boxes containing 12 or 24 sachets of sterilized ready-to-use suture based on customer's preference.
Expiration
Teb Keyhan P.D.O sutures are usable for up 5 years from their manufacturing date.
